Highbanks Metro Park is five minutes in the other direction, and has many of the same amenities, with a popular jogging path through the woods and up and down the natural hills that make up the park. Boaters have just a few minutes drive to Alum Creek State Park, with hiking trails, a dog park, camping and cabin rentals, and a 3800 acre lake for boating and fishing.
