The neighborhood is just north of Blendon Woods Metro Park, which includes Thoreau Pond. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy Little Turtle Golf Course directly west of the community off Longrifle Road.
Entrance into the Preston Commons neighborhood’s two residential areas is off Urly road. Blendon Chase Drive leads into one section that includes a small lake area. Haussman Drive leads into the second residential area. The streets in both sections are laid out in a circular pattern. Sidewalks are placed on both sides of the main roads for pedestrian safety.
Traveling west on Route 161 will take commuters to Interstate 270. Heading south on the 270 to Interstate 670 will bring residents to the capital city of Columbus, Ohio. Residents of the community who wish to avoid freeway driving can get to the Port Columbus International Airport by way of Hamilton Road. Route 161 west from the development also leads to Sunbury Road and Hoover Dam Park to the northwest.
There are no apartment complexes in the Preston Commons development itself, but several are available just outside of the community area. Students in the community are served by the Westerville City School District. The Preston Commons neighborhood is part of Franklin County Ohio and the city of Westerville with a zip code of 43081.
