Indiana Forest is a small community that lies just north of Columbus Ohio. The neighborhood borders North Pearl Street, East Woodruff Avenue on the south, Summit Street “State Road 23″ to the east, and North High Street on the west.
Ohio State University lies just west of the community. The university, founded in 1870, is currently the second largest campus in the United States. The campus covers an area of 3,469 acres and is approximately 2.5 miles north of downtown Columbus.
Indiana Forest residents enjoy access to at least eight parks within a two-mile radius of the community. Luka Park, within walking distance, actually borders the neighborhood and provides residents with a convenient place to take a morning stroll. Other parks in the vicinity are Heritage Park, Central Park, Natural Resources Park, Audubon Park, Glen Echo Park, Clintonville Park, and Linden Park.
The community is nestled among a wealth of museums. Located nearby are the Columbus Museum of Art, The Jack Nicklaus Museum, Kelton House, Ohio Craft Museum, Orton Geological Museum, The Santa Maria Museum, and The Ohio Railway Museum, among many others.
The community’s medical needs are provided by local hospitals such as the Select Specialty Hospital, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and Ohio State University Hospital East.
Area shopping includes the Macy’s Kingsdale Center Mall, The Shops on Lane Avenue, and East Town Center Mall.
