Richmond, Virginia is a city ingrained with history. Established in 1838, VCU has become a top tier university and a major research university. It is the fastest-growing university in the Commonwealth. The oldest building on campus, the Egyptian Building, was built in 1845 and is a National Historic Landmark.

The VCU Rams have a long and illustrious basketball record. The sports teams compete in NCAA Division I. The Rams recently added football to their sports program and began playing in fall of 2011.
