University of Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, PA

Founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1749, the University of Pennsylvania is one of the oldest universities in the country and is a member of the Ivy League. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the University of Pennsylvania Campus contains such properties as Hayden Hall (1896), Furness Library, (1888), and the John Harrison Chemistry Lab (1886). In addition, this beautiful campus is home to Philadelphia’s Morris Arboretum. Built in 1889, the arboretum contains beautiful winding paths among magnolias, azaleas, and elegant trees. An extensive arboretum, Morris consists of more than 13,000 plants.
