Top-ranking Ithaca College was founded in 1892 as a music conservatory. Today, this private college is best known for the Roy H. Park School of Communications, which has graduated several at the top of the broadcasting field, including Rod Sterling, Mark Mahoney, Matt Cavenaugh, Jessica Savitch, Chris Regan, and Robert Iger.

Ithaca College is located in Ithaca, just south of Cornell University, at the tip of Cayuga Lake roughly an hour southwest of Syracuse. In addition to communications, Ithaca College also features the School of Music, the School of Humanities & Sciences, the School of Business, and the School of Health Sciences & Human Performance.

An apartment in the Ithaca College area has much to offer as part of the Finger Lakes region. In addition to beautiful lakes, the area features waterfalls, hills, and gorges. Residents can go skiing and ice skating in the winter and enjoy swimming, boating, hiking, and more in the summer. The Finger Lakes region is also home to wineries, museums, theaters, festivals, and more.
