Trollwood is Fargo’s most northern community, surrounded by familiar neighborhoods like Edgewood, Longfellow, and Northport. The neighborhood borders the area’s Red River.
A major local attraction situated to the southwest of the community is North Dakota State University in Fargo, due south of the airport. MB Johnson Park is found to the southeast of the neighborhood, just over the Minnesota border, Voll Park is just a little farther south of MB Johnson Park, and Percy Godwin Park lies to the south of Trollwood.
The community enjoys a central location in terms of commuting to Fargo, as well. Interstate 29 runs to the west of the neighborhood and local highways, 294 and 75 are not far off, either. Fargo local thoroughfares within ready access of Trollwood are 40th Avenue North, US-81 Business, North University Drive, and Old Highway 81.
