Waterford Landing is located between New Bern Avenue and the Knightdale Bypass. It can be accessed by entrances off North Rogers Lane. The neighborhood is mostly newer homes on mid-sized lots. While Waterford Landing does not have its own neighborhood park, the 110-acre Marsh Creek Park on New Hope Road is about a ten-minute drive. The park’s free skate park draws skaters from all over Wake County who want to careen through bowl, flow, and street challenges. The park also has an in-line hockey rink, ballfield, and a playground. Its community center hosts classes for all ages and has a fitness room for indoor workouts.

The state-of-the-art medical facilities of WakeMed Hospital-Raleigh Campus are only four miles west of Waterford Landing. The hospital is just north of the Raleigh Country Club, a local institution since 1948. The club features challenging greens, as well as an aquatic center for its members.

In less than twenty minutes, residents of the Waterford Landing area can be in downtown Raleigh. Divided into five districts, the downtown has something for everyone. On East Hargett Street is the Marbles Kids Museum. Just for kids, the museum has interactive exhibits plus an IMAX theater featuring North Carolina’s only 3D-capable giant screen.
