Wake Hills Apartments for Rent

Wake Hills is a well-established neighborhood consisting of Dover Road and Davis Streets. Mature oak trees grace the paved streets with lined roads and large lawns. Decorative crepe myrtle trees and dogwoods give charm to the area. The homes are one- and two-story residences that are mostly wood, though some have vinyl siding. This neighborhood has the aroma of family and neighborly life. Wake Hills feels like a community.

Wake Hills has a wealth of entertainment, education, restaurants, night life, shopping, museums, and other attractions. The Museum of Natural Sciences, the NC Museum of Art, the NC Museum of History, the Raleigh City Museum, the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM), the Pope House Museum and Marbles Kid’s Museum are in the area immediately surrounding the neighborhood. Marble’s is well known for its IMAX theater.

Public schools are Underwood Elementary, Sherwood-Bates, Daniels Middle and Broughton High. Private schools include Frankie Lemmon, St. David’s, and St. Michael’s. Local colleges include Meredith, NC State and Peace. LDH Hill Library and Cameron Village Library are nearby. Moore Square Museum Magnet Middle School is also in this education-rich area.

Walkers, runners, joggers, and cyclists love the Wake Hills area. The many attractions include Pullen Park, an excellent family-oriented park with a train and a carousel. The Meredith Greenway Bicycle Trail system, Fred Fletcher Park, and Mordecai Historical Park are convenient for residents. The Carl Alwin Schenck Memorial Forest is nearby.

For entertainment, the Carolina Country Club and Golf Course, the NC Opera, Dail Softball Stadium, the Paul Derr Track, the JW Isenhour Tennis Complex, the Raleigh Municipal Garden, the Method Road Soccer Stadium, the JS Dorton Arena, the Regal Cinemas North Hills Stadium 14, the Carter Finley Stadium, the Alley, and the RBC Center are all convenient to Wake Hills.

Residents of Wake Hills neighborhood commute via the Cliff Benson Raleigh Beltline in the immediate vicinity, as well as highways 50, 70, and 401.
