The gardens have been restored and maintained by volunteers.
Vale at Harrington Grove is close to the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion, the largest amphitheater in The Triangle. Since 1991, the pavilion has been the site for music festivals and destinations for some of music’s biggest tour groups and performers. Outdoor capacity crowds of over 20,000 people have come to hear well-known performers, such as Jimmy Buffet. The food vendors offer anything from bottled water to pizza, so no one goes hungry during a performance. The pavilion has become a major tour stop because of the rapid growth of The Triangle.
The neighborhood is close to the most popular family-friendly shopping destination in Raleigh. The Raleigh Flea Market has been located at the Historic State Fairgrounds since 1971. It has grown to several acres, six buildings, and almost 1,000 vendors. The Raleigh Flea Market is North Carolina’s original flea market with shopping, attractions, and good food.
