The William B. Umstead State Park is to the northwest of Trinity Square. It lies on 5,579 acres, and it is split between two sections: Reedy Creek and Crabtree Creek. The park offers boating opportunities that residents of Trinity Square frequently enjoy. Visitors to the park also enjoy its biking, hiking, and bridle trails. Its exhibit hall hosts a variety of educational events. Picnic facilities are also included in the William B. Umstead State Park.

Some of the wealthier Trinity Square residents are members of the Carolina Country Club. Located only four miles east of Trinity Square, this well-manicured haven offers an athletic escape for its members, especially with its 54-hole championship golf courses. The clubhouse of the Carolina Country Club offers world-class dining and meeting areas.
