Located on Knightdale’s northwest side, the Trailridge neighborhood is less than 14 miles from downtown Raleigh and consists of single-family homes along Indian Springs Drive, Fawn Ridge Court, Heritage Ridge Court, Chestnut Ridge Drive, Arbor Ridge Court, and Ridgewood Circle. The subdivision is bordered by Highway 64/Knightdale Boulevard to the north, McKnight Drive to the east, Laurens Way to the south, and Parkside Commons Drive to the west.
A suburb situated to the east of Raleigh along Highway 64, Knightdale is a small city with a population of fewer than 10,000 and borders the capital city along the edge of the Neuse River. With access to Interstate 540 less than two miles from the neighborhood, Trailridge offers residents a quick and convenient commute to Research Triangle Park, downtown Raleigh, and neighboring cities such as Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Wake Forest.
Trailridge is comprised of a homes built primarily in the 1980s and 1990s, although some construction continued beyond the year 2000 and a small amount of development dates back to the 1940s. The neighborhood features a mixture of residences and, with the exception of Indian Springs Drive, all are located along courts, offering a safe and secluded space suitable for children and pedestrians.
In addition to its proximity to downtown Raleigh, which offers a myriad of cultural and historical attractions, Trailridge is only a 13-mile drive from Crabtree Valley Mall, which features over 200 stores and is considered to be one of the largest malls in the southeastern United States.
Outdoor enthusiasts can take a 23-mile trip to nearby Falls Lake State Recreation Area, which is home to a 12,000-acre lake and over 26,000 acres of woodlands perfect for hiking, mountain biking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, and swimming.
