The Villas at Millbrook Apartments for Rent
Raleigh is more than just the state capital of North Carolina. Raleigh is the second largest city in North Carolina with more than 300,000 people. It is also the birthplace of Virginia Dare, the first child to be born in the New World to English settlers. Nestled amid the palmetto palms, crape myrtle, poplars and dogwoods, are several charming neighborhoods, including the Villas at Millbrook.
Located just off East Millbrook Road, the entrance to the Villas at Millbrook is on Tall Pines Court. A small residential area in the 27609 zip code, it is close to schools, shopping, and community parks. This neighborhood is east of Six Forks Road and west of Falls of the Neuse Road, both main thoroughfares connecting with the Raleigh Beltline (I-440) and the Northern Wake Expressway (I-540.)
The Raleigh bus system is easy to access. The Millbrook connector route runs along Millbrook Road and hooks into the Falls of Neuse route, which takes commuters directly into downtown Raleigh.
At 1400 West Millbrook Road is Shelley Lake Park. This city park has 2.5 miles of walking trails and is part of Raleigh’s Capital Greenway Trail System. The Greenway Trails include 63 miles of interconnected paths throughout the city. Shelley Lake Park also offers fishing, canoeing, and picnicking. The Sertoma Art Center is located there, as well.
Other points of interest nearby include North Carolina State University, Meredith College, St. Augustine’s College, the Raleigh Country Club, and the state-of-the-art medical facilities of WakeMed hospital.
It’s a fifteen-minute drive from the Villas at Millbrook to the downtown block of East Martin, home to City Market. A Spanish Mission style building, it was designed by James Matthew Kennedy and today is a hub for some of the city’s finest specialty shopping.
Neighborhoods such as the Villas at Millbrook are gems in a city that is diverse and charming.
