Within a mile of Downtown are Pullen Park and Chavis Park. Oakwood Dog Park is situated about 2.5 miles north of Rosalynn Place. Oakwood offers two separated areas for small and large dogs and is a popular place for off-leash play for dogs.

Rosalynn Place is located in the 27610 zip code area in Wake County. Public schools in the vicinity of Rosalynn Place include Poe Elementary, Carnage Middle and Enloe High School. About 1 mile south of Rosalynn Place is the Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School. This esteemed school was modeled after the Thomas Jefferson S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) High School in Virginia.
