It is bordered on the north by Possum Track Road and the eastern border runs behind the large lots. The western border is behind the houses that line Chatsworth Lane. The eastern border is Bingham Drive.
While the area seems secluded, the major shopping area is halfway to downtown at the intersection of Interstate 540 and State Highway 1. This eight-mile drive on Possum Track Road takes residents to the Triangle Town Center and Commons. The large indoor mall has all the major department stores and restaurants, as well as unique boutiques and dining experiences. The mall even has an indoor train to delight shoppers and children alike. Shopping is also available 10 miles east at the Wakefield Commons Mall and the Wal-Mart Super Center. The 12-screen Marquee Cinema is quite popular for an afternoon or evening of entertainment.
Schools in the area include Brassfield Elementary School, Wakefield Middle School and Wakefield High School. Recreation is nearby at the Falls Lake State Recreation Area, which offers fishing, boating, and swimming. Other activities include walking, mountain biking, and camping. Golfers will enjoy the TPC Wakefield Plantation that offers the PGA 18-hole golf course.
