Northside is a neighborhood in Garner, North Carolina in the zip code 27529. This is a residential neighborhood of moderate sized homes on large lots with an abundance of trees. This is a quiet area where walking on the street is a common pastime. Northside consists of one street, Dullis Circle which is off of Benson Road and it backs up onto Highway 70. It is located just to the south of downtown Garner.

Just a short drive from Northside is the Southeast Regional Library. This is an outlet of the Wake County Public Library system. Open seven days a week this branch offers book clubs and reading groups for residents of all ages from K-adult. Other programs include storytelling for different pre-school age groups Monday-Thursday in the a.m. and adult programs such a Knit Night to teach those 18 and over how to knit.

This is a well located neighborhood, within a mile there is a Food Lion grocery store, Wachovia Bank, Hardees, Family Dollar Store, Rite-Aid Pharmacy, Papa John’s Pizza, and Arby’s.

Lake Benson Park is a short drive south of Northside. Though it is located near Lake Benson, the park has no access to the lake. That can be had down the street at the boat house where there are boat rentals. The park itself is a beautiful place to go for a picnic or for children to play on the playscape. The park has almost two miles of scenic wooded trails that are a year round attraction.

Lake Benson Boathouse has twenty boats that it rents and these are the only boats allowed on the lake. Fishing on the lake is a popular pastime among residents. Boats can be rented with or without motor and senior citizens always get a half price rate.
