The Landfall North neighborhood encompasses about .017 square miles. Residents here enjoy heavily vegetated yards and surrounding wooded areas, which provide shade and privacy. Most of the homes here date back to the 1980s, but the 1970s and 90s saw some significant new construction as well.

Lake Lynn, Lake Lynn Park and Leesville Community Park are all within walking distance of the community. The community park was renovated in 2009, and includes two miles of paved pedestrian trails, an outdoor classroom, heritage garden, picnic shelter and plenty of open space for games and other outdoor activities.

Roughly two miles west of Landfall North is another significant area attraction – William B. Umstead State Park. Bordered on the west by the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, this large expanse of land covers more than 5,550 acres and offers a variety of amenities. Landfall North residents come here to camp, boat, fish and hike.

Convenient shopping options are situated within a few miles of Landfall North as well. Roughly two miles to the east, along Creedmoor Road, is the Stonehenge Market. Approximately equidistant to the south, along Glenwood Avenue, is the Townridge retail area. For more shopping, dining and entertainment options, downtown Raleigh is only a 20-minute drive to the south, via nearby Highway 50.
