Huntington Woods is one of several residential subdivisions lining Morrisville Parkway on the northwestern outskirts of Cary, North Carolina. This community is in the center of several other residential communities and close to commercial necessities including grocery stores, restaurants, and shops.
Huntington Woods is pedestrian friendly. There are several sports fields located a short distance to the northwest including baseball and softball fields. There are also several Christian worship centers in the area.
With Morrisville Parkway as its southern border, Huntington Woods is made up of a few different streets. Waltons Creek Road loops to create the general shape and area of the neighborhood. Huntington Woods also includes smaller cross streets like Boxfor Road to the west and Rock Nest Court, Wyseferry Court and Farrel Court–all smaller streets ending in cul-de-sacs lined with houses. The neighborhood is part of the 27560 ZIP code.
Directly across the street from the neighborhood is Carpenter Elementary School. This branch of the Wake County Public School System has a year-round curriculum for third through fifth graders. Schools in the surrounding Huntington Woods neighborhood include Morrisville Elementary School; Hatcher Grove Christian Academy, a private school; and Little Pros Academy-Morrisville, an educational daycare center to the northeast.
To the northwest just off of Morrisville Carpenter Road, a large shopping center is home to a variety of restaurants including Rosati’s Pizza, Thai’s Noodle, Inchin’s Bamboo Garden, and Smithfield’s Chicken ‘n Bar-B-Q. Though the commercial center is primarily made up of restaurants, shopping in this area is centered around hardware stores, beauty and supply shops, and specialty ethnic food stores like Kadhambam Spices.
