Green Woods, a sparse residential neighborhood in Morrisville, North Carolina, is located in Morrisville, to the north of Cary, North Carolina. This neighborhood is close to several ethnic food markets, including Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines.
For those who favor less conventional American food, the Neomonde Mediterranean Cafe and Market has a place to dine in, or buy kiln-baked breads and European specialty ingredients. Next door, Orient Garden is a local favorite for Chinese dining. A few blocks to the north, Sangram Mart is a specialty grocery store that sells Indian food and ingredients for traditional Indian dishes.
Green Woods is comprised of two streets located in the northern corner of the intersection, where Chapel Hill Road and Aviation Parkway meet. Green Drive, extends to the east from Chapel Hill Road. Stella Court, near the end of Green Drive extends north and completes the neighborhood’s boundaries.
To the south of Green Woods, Emily Babcock Lake is located in an unofficial park space near an open field perfect for outdoor sports like soccer, football or frisbee. Pedestrians can enjoy a quiet walk around the lake itself. To the northeast, the larger Lake Crabtree is situated near Lake Crabtree County Park and is a good outdoor spot for picnics, longer walks and lake activities like swimming and boating.
There are two schools in the western Green Woods area. Legacy Academy for Children is an early childhood development center and daycare which focuses on giving younger children a head start with educational initiatives. Next door, the Global Montessori Academy enrolls children aged two through six years old into a three-year Montessori program in a home-like environment.
