Fairway Acres Apartments for Rent
Fairway Acres sits west of Raleigh Municipal Lake, and is bordered by Tyron Road on the south and Crestline Avenue to the west and a part of the north. The remaining piece of the northern boundary, as well as the eastern border of the area, consists of Fairway Drive. Most houses in the community start in the mid to upper $400,000s, and can easily increase to nearly a million dollars, while rent on a single-bedroom apartment starts in the $570 range. These neighborhoods are equally divided between having a personal vehicle and reliance on public mass transit.
One of the only truly French restaurants in Raleigh, Saint-Jacques, is located in the Fairway Acres community. Opened in 2004 by Lil and Lori Lacassagne, the restaurant is unique in that both owners were born in France, and it employees a large number of French-speaking residents living in the Raleigh-Durham Triangle. Families living in and around Fairway Acres will enjoy visiting the Kazoom Children’s Theatre, home of the Carolina Puppet Theatre’s Puppet Troupe. The group, housed in a small and cozy space, provides energetic, interactive shows which are specifically designed to attract and hold short attention spans.
Technology lovers in the community might enjoy participating in one of the Giant Campus’ summer or online computer camps. Founded in 1997 and accredited by the American Camp Association, the computer camps are held online, or on the campus of more than 50 schools nationwide. Camps can last for one week or a number of weeks, and cover topics such as video game design, Web design, animation, video design and much more, with a focus on developing critical thinking abilities, communication, and collaborative group building and team effort. To accommodate as many residents as possible, the program accepts reservations and offers a number of payment plans and other financial assistance.
