Creekside Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The Creekside neighborhood is considered part of Raleigh, North Carolina. It is on the far south side of the city, roughly 12 miles from the central downtown area. Although it is technically part of the capital city, this residential community is actually closer to downtown Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, and Garner than it is to the center of Raleigh.
The subdivision is only about two miles south of Ten-Ten Road and roughly one mile east of Highway 401, bounded by Banks Road on the north and Alderman Circle on the west. It is part of Wake County in the 27603 zip code.
Creekside encompasses .053 square miles of land. Bare Creek Lane is the only street to traverse the interior of the neighborhood and provides a single entry and exit point on the west. The community consists of only two dozen single-family home sites on lots of various shapes and sizes. Like much of the Raleigh/Durham area, this community is partially wooded, and each residence has a significant amount of shade and privacy from the neighbors. The area immediately to the south is densely wooded.
This neighborhood is conveniently located within a short drive of many outdoor attractions. Nearby Fuquay-Varina has a few ball fields, small parks, and a public 18-hole golf course. Several large lakes are a few miles north of this community and are used for boating, fishing, and swimming with adjacent parkland for volleyball, hiking, sunbathing, and picnicking. A few more golfing options are to the north, including the nine-hole Garner Golf Course and the Meadowbrook Country Club.
For local shopping and dining, many commercial offerings line nearby Highway 401. Major shopping trips can bring residents north into Garner, Raleigh, or Cary, but nearby Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs offer some smaller retail centers and charming downtown shopping districts.
