Brookfield Station is accessed from South 1st Avenue. There is a small lake and several ponds that are within walking distance of Brookfield Station. The neighborhood is near two churches, Knightdale Church of God and Agape Christian Center Cogic. Located a few minutes from Downtown Knightdale, Brookfield Station is convenient to Interstate 64 and Interstate 540.
Local schools include Lockhart Elementary School, East Wake Middle School, and Knightdale High School. All are about a five minute drive from Brookfield Station.
Knightdale Community Recreation Center offers classes for adults and children. There are athletic programs, health and fitness classes, and summer camp. The center has a clubhouse that is available for special events and can seat up to 50 people. The 169-acre Knightdale Park has a pool that offers swim lessons, a half-mile walking tail, and two observation overlooks. The park is certified as a Backyard Habitat by the National Wildlife Federal, because Knightdale Park offers shelter, food, and water to wildlife.
Downtown Knightdale has a long and colorful history that began in 1700 when the area was first settled. The town remained constant through the Revolutionary War and Civil War. Visitors can browse the shops and Downtown Knightdale is the site of the annual Christmas Parade.
Midtown Shopping Center is just seven minutes from Brookfield Station. Residents will find Kohls, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, TJ Maxx, and Petsmart. There is a Food Lion Grocers and Lowes Food near the neighborhood.
Brookfield Station is only twenty minutes from Raleigh, so residents can easily commute for work, shopping, or to visit Raleigh’s attractions.
