Addison Reserve is a large neighborhood situated approximately 10 miles north-northeast of Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The neighborhood is more accurately described as a subdivision consisting of townhomes lined along the streets. Residents of Addison Reserve agree upon and follow Homeowners Association (HOA) directives and pay annual fees to maintain the neighborhood.
Townhomes within Addison Reserve are encompassed by Capital Boulevard to the west, Perry Creek Road to the west and south and Lignon Mill Road to the east. Farther north of Addison Reserve is Burlington Mills Road. There are various other neighborhoods that surround Addison Reserve within this same area including Thornton Square Townhomes, Park at Perry Creek, and Shearon Farms.
Addison Reserve provides a suburbia atmosphere with sidewalks and well-manicured landscapes. The neighborhood is only minutes away from major shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. A popular shopping area for residents of Addison Reserve is about 3 miles southwest at the Triangle Town Center or what is often referred to by the locals as just “The Triangle.” This area around Triangle Town Center also offers various restaurants and services.
Just a couple miles to the west of Addison Reserve is Durant Nature Park. This sometimes overlooked scenic gem has over 200 acres open to the public. Trails are available to explore Mother Nature which includes creeks and lakes. Residents exploring the park report seeing various types of wildlife like deer. Durant Nature Park offers a serene landscape for hiking, biking or just playing some basketball. Picnic areas and a playground are also available at Durant.
Addison Reserve is encompassed in the 27616 zip code area of Wake County. Schools in the vicinity of the neighborhood include Wildwood Forest Elementary, Durant Road Elementary, Durant Road Middle School and Wakefield High School. To the north is the Wake Forest Library and a few miles to the west of Addison Reserve is the North Regional Library.
