Greenbrier Farms, a development just outside the metropolitan Piedmont Triad, is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Winston Salem. With 530 acres filled with forests, walking trails, streams, and lakes, there is always something for residents to do.
The development features a clubhouse, swimming pool, and playground. Other available amenities include tennis courts, basketball courts, a soccer field, and two parks. One of the parks has an enchanting gazebo where residents hold special events such as birthday parties and cookouts.
Greenbrier Farms Road run through the middle of the neighborhood and provides access the rest of Greenbrier’s sub-streets. Some of the areas are heavily wooded and some are sparse, leaving room for more development in the future. The lakes have docks for small boats so residents can fish. Lakes are regularly stocked.
Residents can choose to either walk on the paved walking trails or the neighborhood’s many sidewalks. There are bus lines on Shattalon Drive, Bethania Station Road as well as Bethabara Road.
Old Town Shopping Center is minutes away on Elkin Road. The mall is filled with upscale shopping as well as department stores and restaurants.
Greenbrier Farms is directly adjacent to the Historic Bethabara Park, meaning, “House of Passage.” The site was first settled by fifteen Moravian men in 1753. The grounds are scenic rolling hills and grassy spots. Many visit to see what is left of the original 18th-century village. The park is used for special events and festivals such as the Independence Day Celebration.
