Belview is just south of Downtown Winston-Salem. The boundaries of Belview are Interstate 40 on the south, Thomasville Road on the east, Junia Avenue to the north, and US-52 to the west.
The neighborhood is close to a bustling metropolis, but there are so many mature trees that it is easy to forget the area is ten minutes from Downtown Winston-Salem. The homes are modest, but the neighborhood is well kept, and there is plenty of space for kids to ride bikes and play. Like most of the Piedmont Triad, there are many trees that beautify the neighborhood.
There are numerous parks and recreational facilities operated by the city in Winston-Salem. Sprague Pool is within a bike ride of Belview and offers family swimming and summer programs. Forest Park is just up the road and has baseball diamonds, turf fields, tennis courts, and a wooded walking track. Reynolds Park has a pool, playground, and 18-hole, publicly owned golf course.
Downtown Winston-Salem has much to offer in shopping and entertainment. The Summer Music Festival has a diverse lineup of music and entertainment all held in the downtown area. The downtown club scene has nightlife to suite all tastes. Winston-Salem has one of the most vibrant restaurant scenes in the south.
Winston-Salem is home to NASCAR and the Winston Cup Museum. Chronicling the history of America’s great racing circuit, the museum has historical exhibits that start with the sport’s humble beginnings in bootlegging to its super speedways of today.
