Several golf courses are located near Aldridge. Oak Valley Golf Course was designed by Arnold Palmer and lies on dairy farmland in the North Carolina foothills. It is a popular golf destination and rated one of North Carolina’s finest courses. Bermuda Run Golf Course is also considered one of the top North Carolina courses. Bermuda Run was once home to the Bing Crosby Pro-Am Tournament.
Tanglewood Park is a favorite Winston-Salem destination. Tanglewood boasts two golf courses, one of which is considered a championship course. The park offers hiking trails, tennis courts and a pool. One favorite feature of the park is the horse stables and bridle paths. Hay rides and carriage rides are available for special events. There are also extensive gardens with an arboretum. Finally, the park features a bed and breakfast inn for visitors, with meeting rooms and a reception hall.
