The neighborhood is north of the Thousand Oaks development, east of Steel Creek Road and west of Sandy Porter Road. Dingress Road is the southernmost road in the neighborhood. The streets in this development are cozy cul-de-sacs.

The neighborhood is located in the southwest corner of the city of Charlotte. Downtown is easily accessible on the I-485. There is a real neighborhood feel and there are community activities during the year. Griers Fork is a great neighborhood for families.

Lake Wylie and the McDowell Nature Preserve are located just a short drive away from the Griers Fork neighborhood. The nature preserve has over 1000 acres of land, 80% of which is undeveloped. There are over 7 miles of hiking trails and campgrounds. Lake Wylie offers fishing and there are places to picnic and even a playground at the nature center.

The Shops at Whitehall Commons offer a place for the residents of Griers Fork to go to do grocery shopping at the Walmart Super Center or to the Lowe’s for anything that is needed for home repairs. There are lots of shops and plenty of dining choices such as O’Charley’s and Chick-fil-A.
