The park also features picnic shelters, a baseball stadium, a one-mile multi-use trail, and indoor basketball and tennis at the Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion.
Gillespie Park is a nine-hole city golf course that features two sets of tees so that golfers are able to play 18 holes. The highlight of Gillespie is the mature oak trees that form a beautiful canopy throughout many parts of the course.
