Those not from New York may not know the county name, but Nassau County, together with Suffolk County to its east, is referred to by locals as “Long Island.” The area incorporates two cities, three towns and 64 incorporated villages.

Jones Beach State Park is the largest public beach in the world, with six and one-half miles of uninterrupted beachfront and a boardwalk that spans two miles.
