Stanley Makowski Elementary School is on the east side of Jefferson Avenue, directly across the street from the Jonnie B Wiley Sports Pavilion and War Memorial Stadium.

Saint Martin De Porres Catholic Church has traditional Latin Mass, as well as services in English.

Humboldt Park is home to the Buffalo Museum of Science, which is located just east of the Kensington Expressway, at the edge of the Kingsley community. The park has basketball courts, picnic areas, and walking and jogging trails.

The Kingsley community is centrally located between the New York State Thruway and Interstate 190, which offers access to Niagara Falls, fourteen miles to the north. Delaware Street provides direct access to the city of Buffalo to the south. The State University of New York at Buffalo and Buffalo College contribute to the diverse environment of the Kingsley community.
