At one of the highest points of the eastern seaboard overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Sandy Hook Bay, the Jersey Shore community of Atlantic Highlands is a quaint city adorned with Victorian architecture and great views.
Atlantic Highlands can trace its history to the very beginning of New Jersey. In 1667, Colonists held the first Assembly of New Jersey in Atlantic Highlands, and it was here that several Revolutionary War skirmishes took place. During the Battle of Monmouth in 1778, the British retreated to Sandy Hook. The community grew during the 1800s, when most of the construction took place, and finally, in 1887, Atlantic Highlands became a borough.
Rent an apartment in Atlantic Highlands and enjoy your own little slice of the Jersey Shore, including the sandy beaches, the harbors, and the architecture.
