The Starlight Theatre, on the grounds of Swope Park, is an outdoor theatre that can seat over 7900 people, and is one of the last self-producing outdoor theatres in the country. Swope Park is also the training grounds for the Major League Soccer Kansas City Wizards team, and has two golf courses as well as baseball diamonds and athletic fields. Lakeside Nature Center is a part of Swope Park as well, and offers many educational programs.
It is not a long trip from Marlborough Heights/Marlboro Pride to Kansas City’s professional sports teams. Arrowhead Stadium, at 1 Arrowhead Way, is the home for the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL. Kauffman Stadium, at 1 Royal Way, is where the Kansas City Royals play their home games. They are conveniently located off of Interstate 70 and are literally next door to each other.
