This centrally located neighborhood is bordered by Interstate 70 to the south. This freeway connects to both Interstate 670 and Interstate 35 nearby, affording Forgotten Homes residents access either west to downtown Kansas City or to points south and southeast.

There are several elementary schools, a high school, some technical schools, and even a college prep school in the immediate area. The Kansas City Med Center also has a campus nearby.

If you live or stay in and around Forgotten Homes, you won’t starve. There are plenty of places to eat, ranging from fast food places to the world-famous Kansas City BBQ, burger joints, and specialty restaurants.

There is only one hotel in the immediate area, The Rochester. All other nearby hotels are in or about the nearby Kansas City downtown area.

Kansas City is home to five casinos, including The Isle of Capri, which is located downtown. Downtown Kansas City is the place to go for the theater, symphony, opera, and ballet. Forgotten Homes residents enjoy visiting Union Station. For excitement and bright lights, there is also an eight-block section in the heart of downtown known as the Power and Light District. It is loaded with restaurants, night life, and a movie theater.

For those who love major league sports, taking interstate 70 southeast to Kauffman Stadium is the way to watch MLB’s Kansas City Royals play baseball or to reach Arrowhead Stadium for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs.
