Parkview is a neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. The neighborhood is located south of Independence Avenue and east of The Paseo. Homes in Parkview vary in both age and construction style, providing residents with a wide assortment of housing options.

South of Parkview is the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, a great piece of history for sports enthusiasts. The museum is located off of 18th Street about a mile away from the neighborhood. This museum provides a look into the history of the Negro Leagues and provides a look at the beginnings of baseball in general. A lot of great exhibits and artifacts accentuate the league’s history.

The American Jazz Museum can be found in the exact same building. This museum offers numerous exhibits that showcase some of jazz’s best talents. It also has a venue where musicians can come to play. The Swing Shop inside of the museum allows visitors a chance to purchase classic jazz albums and memorabilia.

North of these museums on East 17th Terrace is the Gregg Klice Community Center. This large community center is popular with younger residents in the area. The center has several tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball field, and an outdoor playground. Inside are fitness center and recreation area. The center is known for setting up league play for area youth as well as offering various programs.

For entertainment in the area many travel to the Sprint Center on Grand Boulevard. The Sprint Center is a large arena that is used for sporting events, shows, and major concerts. It is also home to the Kansas City Command football team.
