The area has 20 lakes, including the 52 acre Rocky Fork Lake, where bass, catfish, crappie, and sunfish can be caught. Further north is the 1,128 acre Finger Lakes State Park. The park has camping, fishing, swimming, picnicking, and 70 miles of off-road trails for the lake’s most popular activity, off-road riding.

Less than a ten minute drive south leads to the many attractions of downtown Columbia. Shopping, dining, comedy clubs, movie theaters, and much more can be found downtown. The area is home to three colleges, the largest of which is the University of Missouri. The university hosts concerts, theatrical performances, and several nationally ranked athletic teams.
