Rockbridge Shopping Center, located at the intersection of Providence Road, and Grindstone Parkway, covers the neighborhood shopping necessities with its Hy-Vee. Visitors can get a fantastic tan at Tan Fastic Tan, a quick meal at China Kitchen, or grab a film at Movie Gallery.
Nature is never too far away with the Waters Memorial Wildlife Area, south of the East Stadium Boulevard and Old Highway 63 intersection. Waters Memorial has 117 acres of green forest, is made all the more scenic by the pond, and Grindstone Creek, which is overlooked by 75 foot high limestone bluffs.
Sixth Warders’ outdoor fun continues less than 10 miles south at Rock Bridge State Park, which opened in 1967. Its more than 2,200 acres feature cave tours, fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Visitors can explore Connor’s Cave, and find the small stream, sinkhole, and small spring within.
