The Park De Ville neighborhood covers a large area south of I-70, on the outskirts of Columbia. Homes tend to be new, rather spacious, and on large lots. Much of the neighborhood has sidewalks, and the terrain is mostly level, with some hilly sections. It is quite walkable, with plenty of natural spaces. A variety of services make this neighborhood convenient as well as attractive. It is bordered by I-70, North Fairview Road, West Broadway, and Silvey Street.

Columbia’s largest park, Cosmo Park, is the closest for Park De Ville residents. With 533 acres, Cosmo has something for everyone. Two fishing lakes, an 18-hole golf course, an off-leash dog area, and trails for fitness and mountain bikes are just a few of the many activities the park offers. The park is approximately two miles from the neighborhood.

Within walking distance is one of the most comprehensive malls in town. Columbia Mall has several national department stores, along with fast-food places and a Target Store. A Walmart Supercenter is equally convenient, near the southwest corner of the neighborhood.

While the neighborhood is on the edge of town, the educational and entertainment areas of Columbia are not far away. Three major universities can be found only five miles to the east. The entertainment and historic area, known as The District, is nearby. The city transit system runs many routes, making public transportation to any of these spots quite simple.

More than half a dozen conservation areas surround Columbia, giving outdoor enthusiasts vast areas in which to fish, hunt, and trap under the regulations of the Missouri Department of Conservation. These areas are equally appealing to those who simply enjoy being in the wild and watching for wildlife.
