North Andover Massachusetts sits on the banks of the Merrimack River in Essex County, just 24 miles from Boston. It is bordered by Andover, North Reading, Boxford, and Middleton.
As with most New England towns, history plays an important role in North Andover. It is home to the first published female poet, Anne Bradstreet, whose first collection of poems was published in 1650. North Andover is also home to the Parson Barnard House (1715), the Johnson Cottage (1789), and the Steven Coolidge House.
Try hiking Weir Hill, one of the most scenic features in the northern part of town. From the 305-foot double drumlin, get a panoramic view of the Merrimack Valley or walk the mile of shoreline on Lake Cochichewick. From hiking to boating to cross-country skiing, there’s something for everyone looking for apartments to rent in North Andover.
