With its views of the Charles River and wide variety of elegant housing options, West Cambridge is a highly desirable residential enclave. The area has an impressive collection of condos and single-family homes dating back to the early 1900s. With its expansive, tree-lined streets and direct access to natural surroundings, the neighborhood is considered highly walkable. West Cambridge is primarily residential, yet shares its space with some commercial buildings and public spaces, including Auburn Hospital and the Cambridge Cemetery.
