In 1927, after the refurbishing was complete, the theater began showing the newly released talking films. The facility was closed for a few years in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but was reopened in 2008. Today, the theater seats 2,300 and welcomes Broadway tours, well-known entertainers, and local performing arts groups.
