Throngs of people; enticing scents wafting from restaurant doors, spice shops, and bakeries; music flowing from open stores, locals walking the pedestrian-friendly streets, and tourists snapping photos … welcome to Chinatown, a dynamic Boston neighborhood. This densely-populated area is the third-largest Chinese neighborhood in the country. It is the location of the famous August Moon Festival, and the place to go for Asian cuisine.
The Leather District borders Chinatown. This area of old leather factories converted into residential and commercial space contains several cafes, restaurants, and stores. Residential lofts in historical buildings have turned the Leather District into an emerging Boston neighborhood.
