Their theater lies adjacent to Mercy Hospital, but they also put on summer productions in the park, including Shakespearean plays. This is the only Shakespeare Festival in the state of Iowa. The University of Iowa adds greatly to this neighborhood. Not only does it provide jobs, there are several fine museums on the campus.

North Market Square Park is one of several green spaces that are located within the Mann neighborhood. The small park offers a playground, basketball courts, picnic facilities, and open spaces.
