Lithia Springs, GA Apartments for Rent

Lithia Springs, located in northeastern Douglas County just minutes from Atlanta, was named for its springs. Currently unincorporated, it was originally incorporated in 1882. The city dissolved in 1933, then incorporated again in 1994. Finally, in 2001, the town voted to dissolve and be once again unincorporated.

Sweetwater Creek State Park is in nearby Douglasville. The nine miles of trails are situated around the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, burned during the Civil War. The trail then leads to rocky bluffs overlooking a mile-long stretch of white-water rapids. A 215-acre reservoir is a popular fishing and canoeing spot.

The Lithia Springs were once a gathering and healing place for the Cherokee; today, the springs are the site of Lithia Mineral Water, a bottling company since 1888.

This small, unincorporated rural area is a great place to relax, just minutes from busy downtown Atlanta. Apartment hunters will appreciate the quiet beauty of Lithia Springs.
