The Royal community is located in Alpharetta, a suburb of Atlanta in Fulton County. There are a number of housing options in the neighborhoods, ranging from apartments that begin in the mid $500s for a one-bedroom unit, to townhouses with prices starting in the upper $170,000s. There are also single family homes that begin in the lower $300,000 range. Residents in the community have some access to mass transit and connecting bus service to transit systems in other counties; however, most people have at least one vehicle of their own.
Residents who love getting out and enjoying nature will love knowing that their homes are located near a number of parks, as well as a nature center. Situated along the bank of the Chattahoochee River in neighboring Roswell is the Chattahoochee Nature Center, which offers visitors more than 120 acres of walking and hiking trails, gardens, a museum, and a nature exchange. More than 50 species of plants and animals can also be seen at the center, and a number of programs are available to both children and adults. Several other parks in the neighborhoods offer playgrounds, picnic areas, and open green space, as well as a variety of outdoor festivals and family events throughout the year.
For members of the community who prefer to do their walking at the mall, there are a number of places to shop in the area. Northpoint Mall is located within two miles of many of the homes in the Royal neighborhood, along with several other shopping centers, including the Alpharetta Square and Crossing Shopping centers, as well as a myriad of unique boutiques.
A number of colleges have satellite campuses located in or around the community. The Keller Graduate School of Management is located about a mile from these neighborhoods, as are campuses of Georgia Perimeter College, Devry University, and Strayer University.
