The Pace House at historic Vinings is a popular nearby attraction. Originally a 17-room antebellum home owned by Hardy Pace, the house was used by General Sherman during the siege of Atlanta. In 2009, Pace House was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Pace House is now the setting of many weddings and other special events. The Vinings Historic Preservation Society maintains Pace House for visitors and also hosts an annual golf tournament and a tour of historic homes.
