Another nearby park is Sweetwater Creek State Park. Located on George H. Sparks Reservoir, Sweetwater Creek boasts white water rapids and rocky bluffs. The 215 acre park is known for its extensive trails, fishing, Civil War history displays and special programs. Favorite programs include Audubon Society bird watching and wildlife painting.
