Nesbit Lakes is located near Highway 400 in North Fulton County, Georgia. Began in the 1990s and completed 2003, this neighborhood features approximately 270 homes in styles ranging from brick homes to stucco to European traditional. Some homes sit high on a hill and others sit close to the lake, but all of the houses here take advantage of the area’s exceptional views.
The Nesbit Lakes community is in the township of Roswell. At the community clubhouse are an Olympic size swimming pool, tennis courts, and a children’s playground. Walking paths also wind throughout the neighborhood.
There are many recreational opportunities in the Nesbit Lakes area. The neighborhood is not far from the Country Club of Roswell off Old Alabama Road. Roswell features a golf course on Willow Lake, an aquatic center, a tennis facility, a garden, and a full-service clubhouse. Rivermont Golf and Country Club is also nearby.
Big Creek Park is located on Old Alabama Road as well and features a popular mountain bike trail. The Chattahoochee River National Recreational Area is only a short drive away and offers many water recreational opportunities on the water.
Neighborhood schools are Hembree Springs Elementary, Hilside Elementary, Mimosa Elementary, Elkins Point Middle School, Haynes Bridge School, Hopewell Middle School, Alpharetta High School, and Centennial High School. In 2010 Centennial High School boasted the second-highest SAT score in the state.
Universities in the area are Georgia State University, DeVry University, and Reinhardt College.
