Grant Park, established in 1883, is the oldest park in Atlanta. This large green space contains Zoo Atlanta and the Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum. The Cyclorama contains a panoramic painting that was commissioned in 1885 and completed the following year. Visitors are taken on a journey in the rotating stadium to get a 360-degree view of the painting, the largest oil painting in the world. Grant Park also contains playgrounds, picnic areas, historical structures, and natural areas.
