Residents will appreciate the convenience of having several shopping centers within a few miles of the eco-friendly community. Local parks provide a scenic escape from the city, and golfers can play several courses that are only minutes away.
Everglades High School is a short distance from Miramar Isles and enrolls more than 2,800 students from 9th through 12th grade each year. The Everglades’ mascot is the Gators, and the school offers a variety of extracurricular activities including architectural club, jazz band, and hip-hop culture clubs.
Shoppes at Silver Isles is a shopping center within a five-minute drive from Miramar Isles. Shops at the center include Ross Dress for Less and CVS. Diverse dinner options are available in the area including Yummy Asian Grill, La Estancia Argentina, and Benihana Japanese Steak House.
Another shopping center, Marketplace Shoppes, is just a short drive from Miramar Isles. Among the many shops in the center are a Publix supermarket and The UPS Store. Dining options include Sushi-n-Thai, Sal’s Italian, Tijuana Flats, and La Carreta Miramar.
Miramar Regional Park is a 173-acre park within a short distance from Miramar Isles. The park features basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, cricket fields, playgrounds and several large pavilions. An aquatic center with a water playground and beach area is also available.
Golfers can travel less than two miles to reach Grand Palms Golf and Country Club. The resort offers three 9-hole golf courses, Grand, Royal, and Sabal. Practice facilities at the club include putting greens, chipping areas, and sand trap areas, as well as an aquatic driving range. A National Teaching School is also located on the premises with PGA-certified instructors.
