Confederate soldier Henry Theodore Titus founded Titusville in 1867. Soon after, he built a hotel with his wife and named it the Titus House. The city could have been called Riceville, but in an interesting twist, Henry Titus beat Captain Clark Rice in a game of dominos to decide who they would name the city after.
The US Space Walk Hall of Fame honors America’s astronauts. Visitors can walk through and compare handprints with astronauts.
